3 Days - The Hippy Town of Pai and the Hidden Helicopter Crash (Myanmar Border)

19,000.00

This route contains one of my personal favourite locations, Wiang Haeng. It is one of Chiang Mai’s most remote little towns, and with it being a Shan village (We can tell you about that on the tour) it has some fantastic food to offer! The food in Pai is great too and provides a beautiful contrast to Wiang Haeng. This route has many variations, and we can adapt to suit most riders. On all the routes there will be single track, army checkpoints, Hidden Helipads, local villages, fast sections, technical sections and a barrel of laughs.

Wiang Haeng is an excellent route for any rider that has the skills to ride on the road. A good number of options to suit almost any rider.

3 Day Offroad – Doi Inthanon (highest mountain in Thailand) and Mae Chaem

This trail offers great variety with some cruisey flowing offroad to start with, which then changes into a tighter and rougher wooded section where we will bunch up and nip between the trees in this beautiful and isolated area. Then we will have a quick stint up the tarmac to see some of the delights of Doi Inthanon, the highest mountain in Thailand before jumping onto sandy river bed sections that will have you drifting around corners in no time. And that is just Day 1. We will stay in the lovely remote town of Mae Chaem with friendly locals and good food; we have always found something authentic going on in Mae Chaem. Day 2 will be a faster more flowing offroad route (and by no means boring – it will keep you on your toes) that allows us to get right out into the wilderness and experience more of the local cultures. Day 2 is always a day where you will just want to keep riding and riding as the terrain keeps you awake and wanting more. On Day 3 we will debate energy levels and bring you back on 1 of various routes all packed with great scenery and tonnes of dirt to play in.

Most riders can do this loop in varying forms as long as you have good "on the road" skills and a few full days of off-roading under your belt. Ask us if you are not sure about you experience levels and we can advise.
